I met with some of the fabric artists from the Sisters in Cloth group last Friday. We are all in the process of finishing up our projects for the collaborative exhibition coming up in New Haven. As I get more details on the exhibition, I will post them. Here are a few photos from last Friday.

Monday, January 10th, 2011Happy New Year!!!!
Friday, December 31st, 2010As 2010 is coming to a close, I wanted to send off a Happy New Year to all! It has been a full year. One of my “ongoing” resolutions for this coming year is to keep up with the blog, update the website, and share information about upcoming events, programs, thoughts and ideas. As I reflect on the past year, I am grateful for all the opportunities and people I have had the privilege to photographed this year. Families, friends, special moments…this is what I love about photography…the connections. Thank you to all my family and friends for your support. I want to also send out a special thank you to Cathi Bosco who has been incredibly supportive and helpful over this past year. I send out a blessing for all of us…to have love in our hearts, compassion for others, always find the delicate balance with life’s ebbing and flowing and most of all a healthy new year for all.
Thankful…
Thursday, November 18th, 2010As the seasons have changed into the time of leaves drifting and the precious light filtering softly through the trees…it is also the time to remember how grateful we are for the little moments. Time to give thanks for the moments throughout the year spent with family and friends, reaching out to others, sharing from our hearts. During this time of Thanksgiving…I want to share my appreciation to all that have touched my life this past year. Truly a time filled with love and abundance. Gratitude is a precious gift to share. Many thanks.

Sisters in Cloth Collaboration
Thursday, October 14th, 2010Over the past few months a group of amazing fabric artists in the Connecticut shoreline area have been working on creating beautiful quilts inspired by my floral photography. The group called Sisters in Cloth invited me to participate in this collaborate. Over the summer I have met with a few of the artists in their creative spaces to photograph the works in progress. It is fascinating to see how an artist, working in a completely different medium, interprets another’s work. The collaboration will culminate in an exhibition this coming January at a venue in New Haven, CT. I will keep you posted with progress and exhibition information. Here are a few of the photos taken of the progress.
End of September…
Thursday, September 30th, 2010It has been an incredible summer filled with connections and moments to savor. Weddings, family portraits, special events and much more have filled my time along with spending hours enjoying the season. Over the next month I will be refreshing photos on my web site to incorporate some of these new images. The fall has continued the flow of summer with creativity and sharing. The other week I hung a collection of my photos, along with fabric artist Vivika Hansen DeNegre, Birds and Flowers, at Friends & Company in Madison CT. The exhibit will be up until beginning of November. Any questions please give me a call.
How to Start a Home-Based Photography Business
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010Today is the official release date for the book How to Start a Home-Based Photography Business, 6th Edition, (Globe Pequot Press, Guilford, CT). I had the opportunity to revise and update the 6th edition of this book over the winter. As co-author, I adapted and updated the book in light of the many changes and advances in technology over the past few years. The book is a good resource for anyone interested in starting a home-based photography business. Some of the highlights added in this addition are information on creating a web site, marketing strategies, and integrating your talents on many levels to enhance your business. The book is available on line or you can also contact me if you have any questions. It is a pleasure to share this exciting news on my first co-authored book. I have ideas for another book…hopefully this is the beginning of a new adventure!!!
